Description
Now you can finally distill small sized all-grain mashes without scorching!
Introducing our double walled (jacketed) 30 litre stainless steel boiler. This unit is heated by inserting an electrical element into the chamber on the bottom between the two walls. The space between the walls is filled with water or heat transfer fluid. This allows for even heat distribution inside the internal kettle with no hot spots, allowing you to distill on mashes containing solids with no risk of scorching!
Comes with a removable 2β³ lid (which can be adapted to 3″ or 4″ if required) , sloped bottom, butterfly valve drain, thermometer and optional pressure relief valve. Very easy to clean inside with a 13″ open top. Also comes with a 1/2β³ NPT port on the bottom for draining the fluid inside the jacket when desired. 1.5mm thick 304 stainless steel.
An ideal recipe development tool for distillers experimenting on all grain mashes and fruit macerations containing solids.

Iβve used quite a few small scale still kettles over the years, and the 30 litre double walled stainless boiler from North Stills is top of the class in this size range.
The first thing you notice is just how solid it feels. This isnβt a thin, lightweight kettle itβs built thick, heavy, and extremely durable. The stainless steel has a real industrial feel to it, and you can tell right away itβs made to last for years of regular use without warping or wearing out.
The jacketed design is the way to go. Compared to the other single-walled kettles, the heat distribution is much better. You have to fill the outer chamber with either water or glycol and that is the part that is being heated. Instead of dealing with hot spots and the risk of scorching, everything heats evenly and smoothly. That alone makes it a far more stable and forgiving all in one setup. You can cook your mash and distill right on the mash with this style and its super easy to clean as the entire lid comes off.
Compared to other kettles Iβve used in the past, this is just a much more controlled system overall. You get better consistency, less risk, and a noticeably more professional-feeling run every time.
If youβre looking for a 30L still boiler in North America, itβs hard to find anything that matches the build quality and design at this level. It feels like a serious upgrade over the typical entry-level setups and is clearly designed with long-term use in mind.
Overall, itβs one of the best-built systems ive used.
